PRICES: Valid for the specific period each tour is operated and in total for the period between April 1st and March 31st, regardless of when the tour is booked. All prices are subject to change without notice. Prices include entrance fees to museums and archaeological sites (as indicated in the itineraries) and taxes.
SURCHARGE: The State of Greece announces that from April 1st 2024, the overnight tax will be 7 Euro per night / per room.
NOT INCLUDED: All personal expenses (laundry, telephone, etc.), drinks, mineral
water, coffee and tea after meals, tips, visa costs, sightseeing and services other than
those mentioned in our itineraries. If in doubt as to whether something is included in
the price of the tour, please inquire.
CHILDRENS REDUCTIONS:
On all our land organized tours we offer 30% discount
on adult price for children aged 4-12 years.
Important condition: All children must have a passport or ID card to receive the
discount.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATION: During our tours we make every effort to use first
class or tourist class hotels as classified by the Greek government. All hotels used on
our tours have private facilities. It is understood that the prices quoted for each tour
are per room. There will be a supplement for single occupancy where available. The
cost per room for a triple room is the same as for a double room.
MEALS: As indicated in each tour. It is understood that half board means continental breakfast and one main meal per day (usually dinner) and full board means continental breakfast and both lunch and dinner. Where specifically indicated, B means continental breakfast, L means lunch and D means dinner.
TRANSFERS: As indicated for each tour, including porterage of 1 suitcase per person.
GUIDES: All our tours are led by professional guides licensed by the governments of the countries visited. Each tour can be conducted in several languages. In case of force majeure (strikes, etc.), we reserve the right to use tour conductors instead of guides or to distribute literature describing the places visited on our tours.
CANCELLATION: For land tours (tours #1 through #15), a fee of 30% of the value of the tour (but not less than ~$30.00) per person will be charged if cancellation is received 30 days or less prior to departure. For air tours and cruises, in addition to the fees listed above, passengers are responsible for any cancellation fees charged by the specific airline/cruise line and transaction fees. In all cases, tours cancelled less than 72 hours prior to departure are subject to full cancellation fees. Please inquire. CHAT TOURS reserves the right to cancel any tour at any time, provided that all fares paid will be refunded. In such a case, every effort will be made to assist the passenger with alternative arrangements.
ITINERARIES: As specified in each tour. In case of force majeure and/or reasons beyond our control and events occurring after the departure of the tour, we reserve the right to change the route and itinerary.
BAGGAGE: Is at the risk of each passenger. CHAT TOURS and its agents cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to luggage on our buses or during loading and unloading. We strongly recommend that passengers take out individual insurance for their luggage.
LOST ITEMS: Small items, coats, scarves, umbrellas, cameras, purses and any other items carried on a motorcoach are the sole responsibility of the passenger, who is advised of the risk involved in leaving them on vehicles. Every effort will be made to recover lost or forgotten items; however, CHAT TOURS / and its agents, can in no way be held responsible if such items are not recovered.
RESPONSIBILITY: CHAT TOURS acts as an agent for the owners or contractors providing transportation
or other services. All terms and conditions under which transportation or other
services are offered or provided, are the responsibility of the owners or contractors.
CHAT TOURS / ATHENS and its agents (in Greece and abroad) shall not be liable or
responsible in any way in connection with such means of transportation or other
services for any loss, injury, or damage to or in respect of any person or property,
howsoever caused or arising, or for any other damages whatsoever. Airlines and
steamship lines are not responsible for any incidents that occur while passengers are
not on board their aircraft or vessel. The passenger ticket serves as the only contract
between the airline/steamship line and the ticket purchaser/passenger.
SOME IMPORTANT NOTES
• In Athens, motorcoach tours #1 through #15 and tour #27 will be picked up from most
centrally located hotels. Participants must notify CHAT at the time of booking or at
least 24 hours prior to tour departure if they wish to be picked up from their respective
hotels. The above tours will depart from the CHAT bus terminal, located at 10
Amalias Avenue, at the indicated times. Participants who are traveling to the CHAT
terminal on their own should plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled
departure time.
• We strongly advise participants to bring only one suitcase. All hotels in the Athens
area provide luggage storage facilities for their guests.
Please note that our insurance policy only covers injuries sustained while on our
buses. Passengers are responsible for arranging their own baggage and other insurance
needs (please consult your travel agent).
• Clothing: The dress code for the tour is casual.
• For all other tours in this brochure, whether booked individually or as part of a
package, passengers are responsible for making their own way to the CHAT terminal.
• Please note that men wearing shorts and women wearing pants, shorts, short skirts,
or blouses that do not cover the shoulders will not be admitted to the monasteries and
churches visited on our tours.
• Extension of stay: Passengers can extend their stay at most of the sites visited on our
tours, provided that they notify CHAT in advance. For motorcoach and air tours,
passengers only need to pay for additional hotel accommodations. For cruises and sea
tours, extensions are subject to the regulations of the cruise line.

If the above conditions are not met, your order will not be placed, and no reservation
or credit card charge will be made.
This may be due to various reasons, mainly technical issues. We recommend that you
retry until you see the message 'transaction completed successfully' on your screen.
When booking with CHAT TOURS, your request is only queued, and final
confirmation is subject to availability at the time of payment. Your credit card will
only be charged if the requested tour is available. You will receive a 'Confirmation
Order' within 48 hours of placing your request and providing your credit card details.
